Visual Arts
In the Art Room students immerse themselves in a whirl of colour, texture and style as they explore both traditional and contemporary techniques in in the six areas of art – appreciation, drawing, painting, construction, modelling, printing and textiles. Students will learn to be innovative, develop perseverance, self-reflection, self-expression and an appreciation of aesthetics. Art connects the human mind and soul and through art lessons we foster independent thinking in children, enabling them to embrace their creativity and unique style. They draw inspiration from well-known artists, their own interests and the world around them, to shape and guide their creations. There are additional opportunities for students to pursue their artistic interests during lunchtime sessions.
