Secondary School Transition

In preparation for the transition to secondary school and help students understand what to expect in their new learning environment, we provide opportunities for students to experience time at secondary schools, develop their organisational and friendship skills and promote independent learning and thinking. Towards the end of Grade 6 students complete tasks and activities specifically related to their secondary school and all students participate in Department of Education secondary school orientation day.
We assist with learning continuity through close contact with most local secondary schools.

Our varied curriculum, focus on social, emotional and educational needs and special programs, including Leadership Days, Public Speaking, Camp, The Resilience Project and Buddies, help develop essential skills such as confidence, collaboration, communication, resilience and social awareness, all of which support a smooth transition to the next stage of their education.
